A few days ago, the Washington, DC-based American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) announced that Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has maintained its Silver Achievement in Quality Award status that it earned in 2013. The Warwick-based facility is among nine skilled nursing facilities in the Ocean State that has achieved and retained this prestigious national recognition.
On June 28, 2018, 166 skilled nursing care centers and assisted living communities in 36 states have earned the 2018 Silver Achievement in Quality Award, says AHCA/NCAL. The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to providing quality of care in their facilities.
Based on the core values and criteria of the nationally recognized Baldridge Performance Excellence program, the Association’s Quality Award program challenges member providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels – Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Members at the Silver award level develop and demonstrate effective approaches that help improve performance and quality outcomes.
Silver recipients can now advance in developing approaches that meet the criteria required for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Ward. Stay tuned. Gold award recipients will be announced later this summer. The program is sponsored by AHCA/NCAL Associate Members: First Quality and NRC Health and Team TSI Corporation.
Congratulations to Administrator Hugh Hall and his dedicated staff for providing quality of care to its residents.
