The staff of West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is proud to introduce our new Alternative Comfort Therapy 
(ACT)spa program.
ACT is a program developed by West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – A Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to address all aspects of pain and discomfort in our long term and short term care residents. Our Goal is to increase the comfort level of our residents through various therapies offered by our professional teamof nurses, CNA’s, psychiatrists, massage therapists, Reiki therapists, a chaplain and a pharmacist.The program is offered to all residents of West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and is tailored to meet their individual needs.

ACT is a program developed to address all aspects of pain and discomfort in long and short-term care residents. Meeting on a regular basis, they create a completely individualized plan according to each patients needs. The ultimate goal is to improve the resident’s overall quality of life including, mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
CNA’s and Activity Staff are a vital part of the ACT program. They spend one on one time connecting with the residents of our skilled nursing facility daily through socializing, reading or massaging with lotions. As a spa nursing home, West View Health Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center has implemented primary nursing and CNA assignments, which offers consistent and accountable care for our residents.
West View Health Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center is the first long-term nursing home in Rhode Island and in New England to offer this program. As a skilled nursing and rehab nursing home, we are dedicated to continuously improving upon the existing ACT model in order to increase the overall quality of life for all our residents and staff.
