West View provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for all residents in order to maximize function and decrease pain. The skilled nursing facility provides these rehabilitation services through therapeutic activities, social work services, dietary services, dietician counseling, and hairdresser services. Chaplaincy services are available to every resident. Transportation services are also available to medical appointments.

Experienced physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech /language pathologists work with the skilled nursing facility to address changes in 
mobility, self-care, cognition, communication and swallowing to assure optimal independence and safety of our rhode island nursing home residents.
We offer Physical Therapy as a part of our rehabilitation services to provide comprehensive care to improve the quality of life for patients with orthopedic injuries/reconstruction, neurogenic diseases and debilitating illnesses which impair functional mobility. Occupational Therapy assists patients in reaching their maximum functional potential in self-care and activities of daily living utilizing therapeutic exercise, adaptive equipment and splints.
Our rehabilitation center also offers patients with Speech Language Pathology which provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Our skilled nursing facility specializes in dysphagia, pulmonary compromise, augmentative communication, vocal pathology, cognitive rehabilitation and behavioral disorders, experienced SLPs work within the team setting to meet the needs of unique populations. Continuation of rehabilitation services through restorative programming is also available as well as specialty care in wound management and positioning.
Our Team Approach to rehabilitation services includes Nursing, Dietary, Physicians, Therapists, social work services and especially the patient and families. Together our skilled nursing facility provides rehabilitation services to maximize the patients’ quality of life. They progress at their own pace, based upon their level of endurance and medical complexity. The patient is the most valued member of the rehabilitation services team, and we let our residents know this through our support, respect, and encouragement.
